I am a writer of nearly 20 years and have attempted nearly every form of writing possible. I hope to help others by sharing my progress, and struggles, in professional writing. There are many misconceptions and much misinformation about professional writing on the internet. I hope to provide encouragement and support to other writers and prove that they are not alone.
This perhaps is even more needed in the Appalachian region. Many forms of art are celebrated; however, writing is seldom one of those. It can be extremely isolating when the closest writing group is far away.
I have held many different writing-related positions in my career. Some of them are Staff Writer, freelance writer, contributing writer, guest columnist, and editorial consultant. In my free time, I am an avid photographer, hiker, and enjoy searching for historical materials. Most importantly, I am a mother and wife.
I began writing at 13 and am working on getting my fourth book published. I will continue to update the titles as they become available. I have a box on the blog open for my published books and will add to that.
